My Online Pen Name is Quest - you may have already come across me in numerous Forums or online Discussion Groups. I've been marketing online since 1995. I talk the talk and walk the walk. I promote and endorse products I use in my online business ventures.
I went to and accredited Top 100 Business School - even have the piece of paper to prove it, and studied marketing, insurance, and finance. I received a BS in Business too many years ago to even care. I've learned more about business since I graduated than in the 4 years I spent in the classroom x 100! Simply put there is "Book Learning" and there is "Real World Education". You do not need a Marketing Degree to be successful as an online marketer, but it doesn't hurt.
I run a large network of Affiliate Marketing Sites utilizing HTML, Wordpress, and Joomla. I use a number of Hosts spread geographically across the united states. My sites range in size from a few pages to several thousand. I am legally incorporated in the USA.
I work with a small group of partners and consult to business about creating an online presence and we develop growth strategies including SEO. We play by the rules and do not engage nor condone unethical behaviors. Our methods are innovative and effective, and the "secret" really is nothing more than developing and business plan and seeing it though to the end. My partners and I do not claim to know everything, but we are very effective in implementing our strategies and enjoy a comfortable lifestyle. I don't brag about the cars I own or the vacations I take. Yes I own cars and yes I take my share of time off and I enjoy the Coastal Communities. But that's not important; all that matters is what you can do to make your own dreams a reality.

If you are still reading this then I can tell you is this - before I became successful with my Internet Marketing Businesses I started out working in the Finance Division of a major corporation. I was bored to death sitting in the cubical. I left. I got involved in sales and marketing of commercial goods. That's right commissioned sales. I moved a ton of product - millions of dollars of product. Boring! Sure I made good commissions, but it was the same old thing day after day continually chasing the next big sale.
Then about 1992 I heard about "The Internet". It wasn't until 3 years later in 1995 that I began to see a potential escape from the corporate world and Freedom! I could develop my own plan, sell my own products, be my own boss, and make my own decisions. I began creating sites and "figuring it out" on my own.
There were almost no Affiliate Opportunities in 1995, and I had to forge my own way selling advertising space directly on my own sites. This was not a big money maker, as the market was small. It was not until about 2002 that I was able to take my Part Time Business and turn it on full blast! I have not looked back since then.
Yes I watched the success of others - Mark Joyner and Cory Rudl specifically. And I knew that this opportunity was for real.
My success is the result of several factors: Education (always learning), Focus (Sticking with a project idea to completion), Determination (Grinding out the "work"), Testing (Making sure my plan works), and Repetition (Repeating a successful model over and over). But you're not here to read how successful I am you're here to learn something to help you down the road to your own success.
Now some simple advice to help every beginning online marketer - You won't get rich buying everyone's "Flavor of the month e-book". Tips, tricks, and hype are not going to make you money. Cleverly written and aggressively marketed E-books make the owners rich not you! If you are smart you'll read every page of this site. If you are not then you may as well leave right now. Spend your money on Software Tools and take the time to create a real business plan. Buy a whiteboard or get a tape recorder and start logging your ideas. Map them out visually and make your own plan happen.
While reading our articles take notes of the tips and ideas you are not currently implementing and put them to work for your online business. My knowledge comes from more than a dozen years of HANDS ON learning and application. And for every big success I've had I've also experienced my share of failure. And how you deal with failure will ultimately determine your own level of success.
