Make Money in Less Time With or Without a Website

Get excited! Insanely profitable opportunity! You can make serious $$$ selling Electronic Cigarettes. Get started today with these two proven winners! If you want to make money you have to promote products that pay!

Sign up here: GreenSmoke Brand Electronic Cigarettes

Sign up here: Luci Brand Electronic Cigarettes (Luci is gone, went under and didn’t pay affiliates… happens all the time). I continue to work with GreenSmoke after 3 years, they pay well and they pay on time.

Note: I have updated this article for 2012. I wrote it back in 2009. GreenSmoke is still a very good program for affiliates, Luci went under and didn’t even have the courtesy to send out emails, left me with a big balance unpaid.

GreenSmoke is the only good e-cig program that pays affiliates on time.

Update Nov 2012: People who smoke are a constant stream of income for you! Sell them one time and get paid over and over. I’m doing really well with e-cigs in spite of Paypal refusing to take payment from e-cigarette companies. People who buy seem to have a VISA, AMEX, or MASTERCARD. So get to work… this is paying out even better than I expected. This one is Recession Proof – when times are tough people still keep smoking!

————– This is what you can expect to make from an Average Order ————-

Please note that all commissions are initially placed in the Pending Approval page of the Commissions tab in your affiliate back office. 30 days after the products have shipped (i.e. the grace period for the 30-day money back guarantee has passed), the commission is eligible to be approved. It will then be approved on the upcoming 15th of the month.

In rare instances, a sale may be appropriated to the wrong account. We reserve the right to correct any discrepancies regarding misapplied commissions.

Here is a little “Proof” so you can see what average commissions look like for this program. This one is not going to make me a millionaire, but it does add some nice income to my monthly revenue stream.

Commission Amount: $8.25 USD
Order Number: 100511-15XX37-7XX3

Commission Amount: $20.25 USD
Order Number: 100429-14XX28-3XX7

Commission Amount: $16.71 USD
Order Number: 100420-08XX49-8XX2

Commission Amount: $20.01 USD
Order Number: 100425-11XX20-7XX5

The great thing about this program is it’s an “Evergreen Niche” – you get paid for return purchases!

—————- These add up in a hurry if you can move product! —————————

There is no other opportunity for 2010 where even a little guy can get rich! What matters as an affiliate is not what other people are selling, but what YOU can make money selling. Focus on the money! In 2008 the USA Market for e-cigarettes was $100 million! In 2009… it’s exploding! How much money will you make?

There are other programs, but these have the best product materials to make your job as an affiliate simple. I can’t make the money for you… you still have to do that… but in the world of affiliate marketing it doesn’t get easier than this. You’ll come across BluCigs as they have a good site design and nice graphics, but they are always out of stock. And if people can’t buy you can’t make money!

Exactly Why You Should Be Promoting Electronic Cigarettes…

On Monday June 22, 2009 President Obama signed legislation allowing the FDA (The Food and Drug Administration) to regulate the tobacco industry. And while this may be a good thing for the Health of the Nation it’s horrible news for people who profit from the Tobacco Industry. Prices of Cigarettes are going to continue to skyrocket. Add to this the continuing tax burden State Governments are placing on Cigarettes and you should be able to easily see that Smoking is one very expensive habit.

People should just quit right? Yes, probably so. But they CAN NOT quit because they are addicted. And addiction is a terrible thing, but you can take advantage of it … by marketing Electronic Cigarettes!

And here is some great news… not only are you going to make money… you are going to be helping people get healthier! Tobacco smoke contains 4,000 chemicals known to cause cancer. Electronic cigarettes contain water vapor, flavoring, and nicotine (You can actually order electronic cigarette cartridges with ZERO nicotine). So while electronic cigarettes may not be 100% safe the are many times safer than tobacco cigarettes.

Nicotine is not a cancer causing agent… in fact it occurs naturally in tomatoes, potatoes, and eggplant.

The Nicotine Content of Common Vegetables:

There is considerable evidence that nicotine is present in certain human foods, especially plants from the family Solanaceae (such as potatoes, tomatoes, and eggplant). Castro and Monji,2 Sheen,3 and Davis et al.4 have reported on the nicotine content of foods and drinks. New England Journal of Medicine

Source: http://content.nejm.org/cgi/content/extract/329/6/437

Nicotine is a poison in high concentration and highly addictive when smoked. But it is not the culprit for causing cancer. Nicotine however may have links to certain changes in brain chemistry over time. Nicotine is not a good thing for the body, but it is not the cause of cancer. Further proof:

Women who smoke are more concerned about their habit and their ability to quit than men, yet both genders appear misinformed about smoking and its link to cancer. In a new study presented at CHEST 2005, the 71st annual international scientific assembly of the American College of Chest Physicians (ACCP), the majority of smokers mistakenly believed nicotine causes cancer, leading many to smoke “light” cigarettes because they believed them to be less harmful. Women also were more likely than men to have feelings of guilt, fear, and worry associated with tobacco use and quitting the habit.

So now you can feel good about promoting a product that helps smokers get more healthy. Lets face it who wants to make a buck promoting something that hurts people? I don’t.

The Market for Smoking Materials is GIGANTIC!

It’s estimated in the United States that about 1 in 4 Adults smoke cigarettes. That is a huge market that is currently untapped, but it gets even better when you factor in the rates of smoking around the world.

WASHINGTON, D.C. — Gallup first asked Americans about their smoking habits more than 60 years ago, and recent Gallup polling finds Americans reporting among the lowest smoking rates ever measured (24%). The percentage of Americans saying they have smoked cigarettes in the past week did not drop to approximately one-quarter of the population until the mid-1990s. Gallup has asked respondents in more than 90 countries around the globe a similar question regarding their smoking habits, and the data indicate a median percentage of 22%. This result is statistically similar to the U.S. rate, but in some individual countries this figure ranges from a fraction of the U.S. responses to more than 40%.

You can read about the rest of the worlds smoking rate here: http://www.gallup.com/poll/28432/smoking-rates-around-world-how-americans-compare.aspx

So now you can see there is a GIGANTIC market.

Are you a Person Who has Trouble Finding Profitable Niches?

Then this opportunity is for you! Why? Because even if there is tons of competition the market is so huge that there is room for tons of Affiliates. Think about it. With all those smokers you are bound to come across people you can promote to.

The Profit Margins on Electronic Cigarettes are Very Good

Why sell a product that costs $25-50 and pays only 4 or 5% like most of the products on Amazon? Or Travel products like Airline Tickets which pay 2%? Start making real money you can promote Electronic Cigarettes that pay $10-20% and the company I am showing you will pay you OVER AND OVER each time the customer you send them makes a purchase!

Simple Way to Promote Offline for Massive Profits

Think about this simple method. How often do you see smokers in your everyday life? What is to stop you from taking your marketing efforts offline? Have a 1,000 business cards printed up with your special affiliate code. The company I’m showing you gives you a special coupon code you can print on your business cards that allows each of YOUR customers to get either 5% OR 10% OFF! You decide.

Now you carry these cards with you whenever you are out… the grocery store, the clubs, the gym (Yes the Gym… what a great place, people who smoke work out too!), church, everywhere. And hand them out. Tell them about the benefits of switching to Electronic Cigarettes.

Your Promotion Possibilities are Nearly Limitless.

Summary of Why You Should Be Promoting Electronic Cigarettes

Huge Market Worldwide that is just in it’s infancy

Health Benefits to Existing Smokers

High Commissions

I am impressed with the many smokers who say these work. I worry about them being made in China. I don’t trust China. They’ve poisoned enough people/babies/animals already. Wish they were made in the good old USA. “lifestyle tax” is coming next!

Pam from Cheshire, CT

Jun 10th, 2009 10:26 pm

Within a week I went from a pack a day for 30 yrs to 0. Aside from the obvious – no smoke, no smell, no carcinogens etc, I noticed if I get any vapor in my eyes, it doesn’t sting like smoke. My animals don’t even blink if it blows in their faces

Karen from Spring Hill, FL

I smoked a pack a day for 35 years, and quit because of ecigs. It’s saving my life! And the FDA and anti smoking groups are concerned for my health? They want to remove ecigs from the market, but KEEP cigarettes for sale? Talk about contradiction.

Mark from Wadsworth, OH

Jun 10th, 2009 8:24 pm

After 22 years of smoking over a pack per day, e-cigarettes got me off of cigarettes in 2 days. After 8 weeks I’m using 0 nicotine in my e-cig. I can see why Philip Morris and the government are about to ban this. They’re losing victims too fast.

James from Warwick, RI

Jun 10th, 2009 12:08 pm

The fact that the FDA is considering a ban on this safer e-cig alternative is appalling. Aren’t they SUPPOSED to be the watchdog for public health and not Philip Morris’s puppet? I was a 2 pack a day smoker for 20 years. The -ecig is saving my life!

Anna from TN

Jun 10th, 2009 10:24 am

I’m not one of those people who flaunt the ecig in public. I’m just happy my lungs feel better, my husband can’t smell the ecig, I have energy, I could go on and on. Whatever the FDA finds, I KNOW ecigs are healthier than the reg cigs. I FEEL better!

Michelle from Montana

Jun 10th, 2009 8:25 am

Amazing, the Bull our govt will come up with when their tax income is being threatened. The FDA already APPROVED a Nicotine inhaling device! I tried one MANY times hoping to quit a 25 year, pack/day habit! With my e-cigg, 46 days smoke free!

Julie from ATL, GA

Jun 9th, 2009 4:48 pm

I’m a non-smoker but ever since I learned about e-cigs I’ve been trying to convert my friends. I rarely get involved in politics, but I believe in e-cigs will help to keep them from getting banned in any way I can. Smokers should have a choice!

Matt from Cheyenne, WY

Jun 9th, 2009 3:07 pm

Excellent article. On 3/10 I switched from a pack a day smoker for 15 years to e-cigs. I don’t smell like an ashtray, my smell/taste have returned, and I’ve stepped down to a lower dosage. Starter pack M401 $50. Fill my own carts @ ~$20/mo.

Chris from Portland Oregon

Jun 9th, 2009 1:09 pm

Thanks for an excellent article. E-cigarettes have caused me to give up smoking traditional cigarettes. They’re effective and represent greatly reduced risk. People need to know the truth about them.

Matt from Orlando

Jun 9th, 2009 12:54 pm

I’ve been tobacco-free with my e-cigs for the last 55 days. I feel better, can breathe easier, and have more energy than I ever had while smoking 2 packs a day for 19 years.

Debbie from St. Petersburg

Jun 9th, 2009 12:31 pm

Was a pack & 1/2 smoker for 30+ yrs. am now down to 2 cigs. per day, hopefully 0 soon, after 9 days using my e-cig.

Debra from Tarpon Springs, FL

Jun 9th, 2009 11:05 am

I haven’t smoked a cigarette in two months thanks to the e-cig. After 40 years of smoking 1 1/2 packs a day, that’s a huge thing for me! Nicotine gum didn’t work. This works. You can get different strengths of nicotine or none at all.

SB from Tampa

Jun 9th, 2009 8:04 am

Karen: You can fill them with nicotine-free e-liquid. I stopped smoking over a month ago using an e-cig with NO problem, after 1 pack/day for 15 years. It’s great. Sadly, if Big Pharma NOR Big Tobacco can profit, they’ll probably be banned.

Karen from Dunellon, Florida

Jun 9th, 2009 7:21 am

I bought the Njoy e-Cigarette & am disappointed. I love the concept, but you aren’t saving any money with Njoy. One pack of 10 cartridges is 19.99 plus tax… 1 cartridge is equal to about a 1/2 pack of cigarettes. Be careful which brand you buy.

Here is everything you need to know about NameCheap to avoid making a terrible mistake.

1. NameCheap is NOT a registrar – they are a reseller

2. NameCheap does NOT offer any telephone support, have a problem you had better hope that someone gets back to you via email, and that they can solve the problem before their shift ends

3. NameCheap operates out of a Mailbox Drop, they do not publish a street address

Bottom line is NameCheap is a very sketchy outfit and if you put your Web Properties in their hands you are taking a huge risk. Simply not worth it as there are companies you can use and trust. My recommendation is GoDaddy and NameSilo. Both are legitimate businesses based in Phoenix Arizona. Both offer telephone support and have legitimate street addresses.

And that’s pretty much all you need to know about this NameCheap Review… NameCheap = Mistake.

If you want to know who real businesses use for their Domain Registration keep reading…

Survey says GoDaddy is top domain registrar

Thursday, February 23rd, 2012

GoDaddy dominant, especially with larger domain registrars.

1,164 people answered the question “Which domain registrar do you think is best overall” on the 7th annual Domain Name Wire survey.

But some of these survey takers responded to social media requests to vote for a particular registrar, skewing the results.

If you consider all respondents, here’s how the list shakes out:

1. GoDaddy 43%
2. NameSilo 35%
3. Dynadot 9%
4. Moniker 7%
5. Fabulous 6%

I suspect most people reading this blog haven’t heard of NameSilo and may wonder how it received so many votes. The company plugged the survey on Facebook. This shows, of course, that the company has a loyal customer base.

But it will also be helpful to look at the results if you only consider people who own 500 or more domains, as this is closer to the target audience of this blog. It also weeds out a lot of the responses due to companies asking people to vote.

411 people who own a portfolio of 500 or more domains answered this particular question.

The results are striking: It’s GoDaddy and then everybody else. Fully 75% of these larger portfolio holders say GoDaddy is best. The next three, Dynadot, Fabulous, and Moniker combine for 7% of the vote.

I can think of a number of reasons GoDaddy might be so dominant with larger domainers. One that I hear from a number of domainers is that they thrive on the company’s Premium Listings service. Whereas domainers used to get 80% of their revenue from parking and 20% from sales, they’re now doing 20% from parking and 80% from sales. Sales through GoDaddy are a key driver.

And thus concludes the NameCheap Review – not a good idea!

I’m a long time GoDaddy customer. While I do not use them for anything but Registrations, my prior experience with GoDaddy has been positive… until I recently tried moving a block of domains from another registrar.

I cut and pasted my bulk transfer into the GoDaddy interface (Which is very cluttered and not very intuitive) and began my transfer. I dropped a $200+ on this transfer which is nothing in the overall scheme of things (1 in 4 domains is registered by GoDaddy) and then the miserable nightmare began.

The GoDaddy interface would not let me add privacy registration. I clicked on the Radio button for each domain name and got an error about how they could not add privacy because they could not calculate a date. Interesting because they had no problem calculating a date for the Transfers themselves. Anyway, chalking this up to a “glitch” I created a help ticket and waited. 2 and a half hours later I got my reply. They had “fixed” the problem and I logged back in and everything was showing up now.

On to the process of inputting the codes that GoDaddy had mailed me. Because I have a mix of .com, .org, .net and the GoDaddy system had automatically grouped these domains as “bulk” in their backend I had several of these codes to enter. No problem, I cut and pasted them in. Then I entered in all the EPP codes one at a time… they I waited… NOTHING. Nothing at all. Then the error message. Nothing had been completed.

So I did it all over again. Same process, cut and paste then one at a time cut and paste all the EPP codes. Same thing NOTHING. Ridiculous. The GoDaddy interface FORCES one to cut and paste each individual code into the appropriate field, but if every single code is not entered it will go no further. Thus you have to put ALL of the codes in before you can attempt the entry. If you leave one code out it errors out. And there is no way around this because GoDaddy groups them all together on the back end.

So I write yet another email to the support people. Their response was dismal. They told me to clear my cache. Brilliant! I wish I had thought of that. That is the equivalent of Microsoft saying Reboot your computer. It has absolutely nothing to do with the Failure which is on THEIR END. But the $10 an hour desk jockeys on the other end are not really tech support people they are just there to spit back the same PR Bullshit friendly, but non-helpful dribble you would get if you were talking to any other idiot on the street.

Bottom line is GoDaddy failed because their software was not working and they were not interested in finding out “why” it was not working. So I had to cancel the transfer… by clicking you guessed it 1 check box at a time for each of the domains. Then I had to request a refund. Then I waited for the refund to be processed.

Brilliant Customer Service!

In any case I created and account at NameSilo, cheaper prices, simple interface and no problems. Apparently GoDaddy has too much business and doesn’t need mine. NameSilo is also in Phoenix, AZ. NameSilo only does Domain Registrations, no hosting or other services. But they do offer FREE Domain Privacy service and the ICANN fees included in the prices shown on the website. So no surprises down the road, no gimmicks, no coupons to chase after. They started business in 2010. We’ll see how it goes.

Lesson learned.

NameCheap is the worst possible domain registrar.

They are completely incompetent and offer ZERO useable tech support. Their tech support people are rude idiots, monkeys could do a better job.

If you are thinking about using NameCheap you might want to think again. What kind of company doesn’t even have telephone numbers available to their customers? What kind of company hides behind their email address and won’t even publish their names? The kind of company that is hiding and cheating people. Fraudsters that’s what kind of company.

NameCheap Sucks

They completely bungled a domain transfer, then canceled my transfer, then refused to refund my money.

NameCheap Sucks

Then next they accused me of committing fraud, blocked my email address and are trying to take my domains hostage.

You would think NameCheap would want to follow through on an order and fix the problems, instead they just cut you off… steal your money and accuse you of doing something wrong. It’s pathetic.

NameCheap Sucks!

This is Who I use for Link Building – Learn Why By Reading Article Below

Link: Referral Removed 2012

Why Remove this link?

Because things change over time and what worked yesterday may not work today or tomorrow. It’s that simple. The company I was using to build links did exactly what they said they would do. The problem is all those links are now meaningless because the methods they use while “White Hat” simply do not work anymore.

This is Exactly How I Build Traffic Fast for Next to Nothing

Sites need traffic and it can take several weeks of hard work to get traffic you need to start turning real profits. You have 2 options. Do all the work yourself or outsource it! Below I’m going to explain to you the company I use and exactly how I outsource the work so I can get traffic fast.

Making Money by Freeing Up Your Time to Market

How many of you are like me and absolutely hate doing rote repetitive tasks? You know bookmarking, filling out forms to submit articles, filling out directories, replying to captchas, etc? At best it bores the hell out of me, at worst it sucks away massive amounts of time I could be using to do real “Marketing”.

How Much is Your time worth?

If you become good at online marketing you’ll recognize immediately that your time is worth a lot more creating content, writing headlines, developing sales literature, etc. than filling out forms! You won’t make much money if you spend all your time building backlinks.

Low Cost Outsourcing that Really Works USA Based

I formed my Company almost a full decade ago. I hate doing anything boring or repetitive. I like writing, marketing, creating, developing. But I’m sure as hell not going to sit around and fill out forms all day to create backlinks. That’s just plain stupid. And if you are making any money at all… you’ll quickly realize you’ll make a lot more if you can outsource all this “Busy Work”.

Testimonial and Endorsement

I’ve been using this marketing company now for almost 2 years. They get the work done really fast, provide you with complete reports, and are really inexpensive. Plus they are based in the United States.

After I create my project I have them do these 3 tasks:

I create an article and have them do the distribution*

I use them to submit to Directories for me

I use them to do my Social Bookmarking.

* They will create the article for a nominal fee, but I like to have complete control over my article marketing and feel that my own work is more convincing. I believe articles should drive traffic all by themselves. I want a powerful 1-2 punch – backlinks AND compelling text for real click through.

I have complete control over the Titles, Text, Keywords. These guys do not create the SEO they Distribute it. And that’s a good thing because in order to be effective you need to create the content. I can highly recommend their work ethic, fast services, and low prices. Give them a try and see for yourself.

Here are the Services I Order and What they Cost

$10 – 150 High PR Directory Submission

$12 – 55 Social Bookmarking Links from Unique Accounts

$30 – Submit my Article to 100 Directories from Unique Accounts

Total Cost = $52

Potential Links – approximately 300

Now not every submission will be accepted but most of them will. A always start with the Article Distribution and have had many of my articles indexed within 24 hours. Articles seem to stand the test of time and deliver traffic long term. If I believed there were truly 300 worthwhile article directories I’d pay to have them submitted to more.

This is a lot of bang for the buck and saves me a hell of a lot of time, effort, and money. And you get full reporting with the user names and emails used to create unique campaigns so you can followup on them yourself later!

Give it a try I think you’ll be pleasantly surprised.

Update: Jan 2011 – I’m swamped and can not currently take on any more projects. Thanks

Are you interested in hiring an Internet Marketing Specialist? You could do an online search and try to outsource from a company that you have never heard of before. You could call a recruiting company and use them to find someone that has credentials that appeal to your company. You could run an advertisement in the local Newspaper for an Internet Marketing Specialist. But how would you know that the person you are hiring has any real experience.

Many people talk the talk but few walk the walk. You don’t need a business degree, a computer science degree or any degree for that matter to be successful online. Many of the most successful online marketing specialists have no educational credentials. What is far more important is a proven track record of success and that is typically measured in income.

You see money is the ultimate measure of just how good an individual is at taking an ordinary business idea and pushing it to the top online. While having an educational background may help, it’s no assurance that it will bring the results you or your company are looking to achieve.

So when you think of hiring an Internet Marketing Specialist don’t overlook the value of experience. I’m available for certain projects on a piecemeal basis. The advantage to you is 15 years real online experience. You won’t need to provide any benefits or create a payroll. Work will be completed online and on time! My areas of expertise are:

WordPress Installation and Set up.

WordPress Maintenance.

SEO Site Consulting

Article writing and distribution.

Keyword Research and Campaigns.

Local Search Optimization

I can’t believe how many people in Forums have CJ accounts but have no idea how to use them. Why people won’t read the help files is really baffling. How can a person expect to make money if you have no idea how the system works?

Here are some very important terms to understand – and Yes I copied these directly from the Commission Junction Help Files.

3-month EPC

Your EPC (Average Earnings Per One Hundred Clicks) is a relative rating that illustrates the ability to convert clicks into commissions. Three month EPC values are calculated and updated daily, using data beginning five months previous through three months previous. On the first of each month the \”five months previous through three months previous\” timeframe changes to accommodate the month change. For example, an EPC rating in June is calculated using data from January, February, and March. It is necessary to use data beginning five months previous to give accurate EPC ratings that may include extended or reversed transactions. NOTE: There must be at least 1000 clicks for the 3-month period to calculate your EPC. If less than 1000 clicks occurred, N/A will display for the EPC. Your EPC is calculated in an \”apples to apples\” comparison with all publishers by taking each publisher’s total commissions earned (regardless of currency) and then converting that total (if necessary) to US dollars. After each publisher’s commission total amount has made this conversion to a common currency (USD), the amount is then divided by the total number of clicks times 100. At this point, your EPC is established. Your EPC is then converted back to your functional currency (provided it differs from USD) when you view it on the Home Page of your Publisher Account Manager.

7-day EPC

Your EPC (Average Earnings Per One Hundred Clicks) is a relative rating that illustrates the ability to convert clicks into commissions. The calculation is made by taking the sum of all commissions for 7 days and dividing it by the sum of all clicks for the same 7 days then multiplying this by 100. If today’s date = N, the date range used is N-8 to N-2. NOTE: There must be at least 100 clicks for the 7-day period to calculate your EPC. If less than 100 clicks occurred, N/A will display for the EPC. In addition, advertiser EPC will display as \”New\” for the first 90 days in the Commission Junction Network. Your EPC is calculated in an \”apples to apples\” comparison with all publishers by taking each publisher’s total commissions paid (regardless of currency) and then converting that total (if necessary) to US dollars.

Account Links

Links appearing in the Login Manager which allow access to each linked account.

Advertiser Expired

Program Terms that were once active for a publisher but that have been subsequently expired (i.e., \”dropped\”) by the advertiser.

Advertiser SmartZone

An Advertiser SmartZone is a package of links that the advertiser creates, using only links from his program. Each link within the SmartZone is given a \”weight\” that determines how often it will display in relation to the other links within the SmartZone (rotating).

Banner

A clickable (linked) advertising graphic. This is the most common type of Web advertisement.

Batch Processing

Commission Junction’s batch processing method allows the advertiser to store the information (Publisher ID, Ad ID, Shopper ID) collected during the initial click-through and link those values to the consumer transaction (sale or lead). Once all the information is prepared, the advertiser may send a batch file to Commission Junction for processing.

CAD

The acronym for \”Canadian Dollars\”, a functional currency supported by Commission Junction.

CJRP

CJRP is the \”Commission Junction Recruiter Program\” that allows approved publishers to earn commissions for referring new publishers to the Commission Junction network. This program works just like any other advertiser program in the network: you must apply to join the program, meet the program’s requirements, and then, if approved, use the CJRP links provided to promote Commission Junction. Joining the CJRP is not a requirement for membership as a publisher in the Commission Junction Network.

Click-through

(also called click or hit) Refers to the action a consumer takes when they are referred from one Web site through a link or advertisement and are taken to another Web site.

COC

An Email Content Link is an email, complete with content and ready to be sent, created by the advertiser for you to mail to your client base. For example, an advertiser could create an email link to promote a \”Summer Sale\” and you would simply need to grab the HTML for that link and immediately be able to email it to your customer base.

A Web site that offers incentives to visitors, donates a portion of proceeds to charity or otherwise requires special approval from Commission Junction advertisers.

Interactive Link

An HTML link (added in the \”Advanced Link\” area) that accepts up to 32,000 English-based characters and provides for some type of user interaction, such as a search box or a drop-down box.

JavaScript

JavaScript links enable scripting access to objects embedded in other applications. JavaScript links put the publisher site ID (PID) and advertisement ID (AID) in the HTTP header (using the POST method). Commission Junction offers this form of link code.

Keyword Link

A Keyword Link is used by publishers who are interested in using paid placement to promote their advertisers. When publishers make bids on their advertiser’s keywords, they can use the information in the keyword link to get data on the advertiser’s preferred marketing message and tracking URL for search, their keywords, and the associated bidding rules for those keywords.

Lead

A lead constitutes a situation in which a user registers, signs up for, or downloads something on an advertiser site. A lead might also comprise a user filling out a form on the advertiser’s site.

Link Accounts

The process of adding accounts to the Login Manager to enable access to all accounts regardless of in which account you currently reside.

Login Manager

Enables SuperUsers to add links for their multiple accounts which enable you to access all accounts regardless of in which account you currently reside.

Network Earnings (Advertiser)

An advertiser’s Network Earnings ranking shows how the advertiser rates with other advertisers in the network based on the volume of commissions paid. Advertisers are ranked in an \”apples to apples\” comparison with all advertisers by taking each advertiser’s total commissions (regardless of currency) and then converting that total (if necessary) to US dollars. After each advertiser’s commission total amount has made this conversion to a common currency (USD), the ranking is established. Ranked using a bar graph system, the Network Earnings are based on a scale of zero-5 \”bars\”. New advertisers are ranked as \”New\” for their first three months in the network. Advertisers paying zero commissions are excluded from the overall calculation and given a \”blank\” rating. The ranking is calculated relative to the entire network based on commissions paid to publishers during the previous month.

Network Earnings (Publisher)

Your Network Earnings ranking shows how you rate with other publishers in the network based on the volume of commissions earned. You are ranked in an \”apples to apples\” comparison with all publishers by taking each publisher’s total commissions (regardless of currency) and then converting that total (if necessary) to US dollars. After each publisher’s commission total amount has made this conversion to a common currency (USD), the ranking is established. Your EPC is then converted back to your functional currency (provided it differs from USD) when you view it on the Home Page of your Publisher Account Manager. Ranked using a bar graph system, the Network Earnings are based on a scale of zero-5 \”bars\”. Publishers earning zero commissions are excluded from the overall calculation and given a \”blank\” rating. The ranking is calculated relative to the entire network based on commissions earned by publishers during the previous month.

OID

The advertiser’s order ID. A unique value that an advertiser will pass in order to cross-reference transactions with data on their system. The data could be the customer name or any number or string (generated by the advertiser’s scripts/software). An IP address is displayed by default. Email addresses cannot be used in the OID field.

Organic Search

Organic search, also known as search engine optimization (SEO), focuses on optimizing Web site content, architecture, meta tag development, linking strategies, directory listings and Web page submissions based on the relevancy algorithms search engines use to index and rank Web pages. Organic search methodology is a long-term solution to obtaining search engine exposure without paying the recurring costs associated with pay-per-click advertising models.

Paid Inclusion

Paid inclusion is primarily the process of fast and up-to-date indexing of Web pages by paying a specific price for a URL in order for that URL to be searched and listed. Paid Inclusion results are immediate and generate large volumes of targeted traffic by exposing Web site content across multiple engines and directories.

Paid Placement

Paid placement is the process of competitively bidding on specific keywords, which in turn buys top search engine listings (or placements) for the keyword searches most relevant to an advertiser’s offerings. Paid search drives highly targeted traffic and increases brand awareness.

Pay-For-Performance Search

Pay-for-performance search is the process in which publishers engage in search marketing efforts on behalf of their advertisers. As a trusted independent party, Commission Junction honors advertisers’ protected/branded keywords and facilitates publishers’ search involvement for maximum effectiveness. Pay-for-performance provides advertisers with a risk-free search method.

Pay-Per-Lead

Commission structure in which the advertiser pays the publisher a fee for each qualified lead (customer) that is referred to the advertiser’s Web site.

Pay-Per-Sale

Commission structure in which the advertiser pays a percentage or fee to the publisher based on the revenue generated by the sale of a product or service to a visitor who came from a publisher site.

Pending Applications

Applications for advertiser programs will remain in the \”pending\” status until the advertiser approves or declines them.

Pending Offers

An offer (i.e., a program term) that was sent to you from an advertiser will remain in the \”pending\” status until you approve or decline it.

Performance Incentive

Incentive for which an advertiser increases commissions based on publisher performance during a given month. For example, an advertiser might set their program to pay a bonus to publishers who refer a certain number of leads. Whenever a publisher reaches this goal, the additional payout is added into that publisher’s account at the end of the second month after the goal is reached (two months are required to include extended transactions, if any).

Performance Reports

Run a Performance Report to get details about your program. Find out which Web site, which links, and which advertisers are creating the most traffic.

PID

Publisher Web site ID. This is the identifier of the publisher Web site from which the consumer clicks to the advertiser site. Please note that deleted PIDs will continue to track provided that the links on the Publisher Web site were not removed. Deleting a PID simply makes that PID unavailable to a publisher who wishes to obtain link code via the Link Detail page. Any active links on a live Web site that were placed prior to the PID’s deletion will still contain the PID/AID parameters and track per the active program term.

Product Catalog

A Product Catalog contains one or more product links. Whereas other link types promote the advertiser’s Web site or company, a product link promotes a specific product. For example, instead of a banner that promotes \”CoolShoes.com\”, a product link can promote a specific pair of shoes. Product Links allow you to place the advertiser’s products within the context of your content and create impulse buying opportunities for consumers. Product catalogs are currently in use by many top rewards sites, comparison shopping sites and shopping mall sites within the network.

Product catalogs are currently in use by many top rewards sites, comparison shopping sites and shopping mall sites within the network.

Program Term

\”Program Terms\” are the criteria that make up the \”agreement\” between advertisers and publishers. The Program Terms include the action type (e.g., sale or lead), the commission rate, the referral period, the number of action occurrences allowed, and performance incentives (an optional feature).

PSA

Publisher Service Agreement: Service agreement signed during account setup.

Publisher

(also referred to as an Affiliate, Associate, Partner, Reseller or Content Site) – An independent party, or Web site, that promotes the products or services of an advertiser in exchange for a commission.

Publisher Expired

Program terms that were once active for a publisher but that have been expired (i.e., \”dropped\”) by the publisher.

Publisher Service Agreement

(PSA) Service agreement signed during account setup.

Read Only Mode

A read enabled and write disabled system state used by Commission Junction in order to update the system while enabling users to complete read actions (view information, search, run reports, etc.) using information current to the beginning of the read only mode. Write actions (edit, compose, save, etc.) are disabled during read only mode. Transactions are accepted during read only, and information is updated at the completion of read only.

Sale

Transaction that occurs when a user makes a purchase from an online advertiser.

SID

Shopper ID. Commission Junction provides the capability for publishers to track where their actions originate through the implementation of the Shopper Identification, or SID. One application of this technology is the Commission Junction SmartRewards program, in which publishers can target and/or reward their unique shoppers. Contact a Commission Junction SmartRewards associate by clicking the \”Contact Us\” hyperlink in the CJ Account Manager. Then click \”Go\” in the \”Ask a Question\” area of the pop-up window. Once in the question interface, select the \”Linking\” category and the \”Advanced Linking\” subcategory.

SmartLink

SmartLink is a Commission Junction ad type that enables advertisers to host links.

SmartZone (Advertiser)

A package of links the advertiser can create for use by publishers. Unlike Publisher SmartZones that may contain links from many different advertisers, Advertiser SmartZones are created by each advertiser and contain only their links.

SmartZone (Publisher)

A package of links the publisher creates that may contain links from many different advertisers. Each link within the SmartZone is given a \”weight\” that determines how often it will display in relation to the other links within the SmartZone (rotating). The SmartZone functions just like any other link, in that publishers only need to place the SmartZone code (consisting of JavaScript) once on their site.

Text Link

A simple link (without a graphic) limited to 150 characters or less.

Third Party Link

Advertisers now have the option to utilize other vendors’ services or tools that improve the merchandising experience for themselves, their publishers, and consumers. Using a third party vendor, advertisers can provide trackable interactive links to their publishers. Advertisers simply sign up with the Commission Junction-approved vendor of their choice, create their links, and upload them to the Commission Junction Network. These dynamic selling links allow a publisher’s site visitors to interact with the links and make buying decisions before clicking away to the advertiser’s site.

Transaction Report

Run a Transaction Report to track the commissions you’re earning.

Trend Graph

A graph that plots information from a report against a specific time period. The horizontal axis displays the time period of the report, while the vertical axis displays the reporting information. The information displays as points connected by a trend line.

“Forget the politicians. The politicians are put there to give you the idea that you have freedom of choice . . . you don’t. You have no choice. You have owners. They own you. They own everything. They own all the important land. They own, and control the corporations. They’ve long since bought, and paid for the Senate, the Congress, the state houses, the city halls, they got the judges in their back pockets and they own all the big media companies, so they control just about all of the news and information you get to hear. They got you by the balls. They spend billions of dollars every year lobbying . . . lobbying, to get what they want . . . Well, we know what they want. They want more for themselves and less for everybody else, but I’ll tell you what they don’t want . . . they don’t want a population of citizens capable of critical thinking. They don’t want well informed, well educated people capable of critical thinking. They’re not interested in that . . . that doesn’t help them. That’s against their interests. That’s right. They don’t want people who are smart enough to sit around a kitchen table and think about how badly they’re getting fucked by a system that threw them overboard 30 fuckin’ years ago. They don’t want that. You know what they want? They want obedient workers . . . Obedient workers, people who are just smart enough to run the machines and do the paperwork. And just dumb enough to passively accept all these increasingly shittier jobs with the lower pay, the longer hours, the reduced benefits, the end of overtime and vanishing pension that disappears the minute you go to collect it, and now they’re coming for your Social Security money. They want your fuckin’ retirement money. They want it back so they can give it to their criminal friends on Wall Street, and you know something? They’ll get it . . . they’ll get it all from you sooner or later cause they own this fuckin’ place. It’s a big club and you ain’t in it. You and I are not in The big club. By the way, it’s the same big club they use to beat you over the head with all day long when they tell you what to believe. All day long beating you over the head with their media telling you what to believe, what to think and what to buy. The table has tilted folks. The game is rigged and nobody seems to notice. Nobody seems to care. Good honest hard-working people . . . white collar, blue collar it doesn’t matter what color shirt you have on. Good honest hard-working people continue, these are people of modest means . . . continue to elect these rich cocksuckers who don’t give a fuck about you. They don’t give a fuck about you . . . they don’t give a fuck about you. They don’t care about you at all . . . at all . . . at all, and nobody seems to notice. Nobody seems to care. That’s what the owners count on. The fact that Americans will probably remain willfully ignorant of the big red, white and blue dick that’s being jammed up their assholes everyday, because the owners of this country know the truth. It’s called the American Dream cause you have to be asleep to believe it . . .”
