GreenSmoke was offering affiliates a $25 “Test Kit” where you would get the device and some cartridges so you could take them and market locally. This offer comes and goes, if you send them a short email with a paragraph or two outlining how you would demonstrate the product they will likely let you participate in this offer.

I do not know if the products you mention are good or not. When I choose to start marketing GreenSmoke last summer I did a lot of investigating the available products.

GreenSmoke has an excellent reputation. Their website is second to none, they provide you with all the marketing materials to make your job so much easier.

Remember that PRICE doesn’t matter if no one buys! You have to be able to convince people of the quality and value of the product. And you need to keep in mind that if you are selling $29 products there is not going to be much commission available to you… so you’ll need to sell a lot more products.

There is a video on how to insert banner codes into articles… and the cool thing is the video uses WordPress as an example. Now to Keywords. They show you how to use the tools but do not provide a list. Because I am also marketing in this niche I am going to tell you how I do it – how I find the keywords.

Here is what I do: I use SEOBOOK Free tools (Firefox plugin), SEO Elite, and Keyword Research Pro. Use any tool that works for you, but these are what I like and actually use.

What I do is Reverse Engineer all the sites that are already ranking so I can build a list of keywords they are already using. I use SEO Elite to quickly see the Allinanchor and AllinTitle text because it’s these incoming anchor text links that Google really cares about. This is how you know what keywords the site is actually using. You do this on several of the top sites for a variety of keywords… then you take those keywords and plug them into your favorite keyword tool to generate your longtail keywords… thats a discussion in itself.

Anyways back on point you don’t need to reinvent the wheel – you can get your keywords from sites that are already ranking as described above.

Finally a note about Google. For some reason they have Christened themselves the Morality Police and certain keywords in Adult Niches, Tobacco, Alcohol or whatever they choose not to reveal in their Adwords Keyword Tool so you’ll need to use another source like Keyword Discovery to reveal the longtail, but you competitors know the primary keywords and that is where you start by reverse engineering them.

The market potential is Gigantic. There is no better affiliate opportunity within this niche than this. And this is going to explode as the cost of cigarettes keeps going higher.

This is the kind of opportunity that you can market on social sites like MySpace and Facebook if you do it right. Build your site of friends then introduce them to what you do… and figure out how you can best get them to write you so you can email them the literature direct.

This is also perfect for people who go to parties and clubs… hand out the cards or brochures to all the smokers you meet. The potential is pretty limitless. And the great thing is most smokers are turned off by people who tell them to quit, but are very open to trying something new that has the potential to make what they obviously like doing safer.
