The Easiest Affiliate Networks to Join for New Online Marketers

Are you the type of person who has a lot of ambition and desire, but doesn’t know exactly how to get started as an Affiliate Marketer? Then this page is for you. These companies are the easiest for new Online Marketers to join. So if you don’t know where to start or “how to” find affiliate programs this is the place for you. There are several more Affiliate Networks you can join, bet these are the easiest to get accepted into when you are new.

Max Bounty

FACTS: By far the easiest way to get started. Choose from 50-100 current offers. MaxBounty is a CPA (Cost Per Action) Network Company. What this means is you get paid when a customer takes an action on an offer. In simpler terms this can mean anything from inserting a ZIP Code, an email address, or making a purchase. Offers include things like Personals/Dating, Surveys, Free Giveaways, Coupons, Free Trials, Ringtones, etc.

Linkshare

FACTS: LinkShare is a professional big time company. You MUST have a professional looking website before you join; however it’s easier to join than Commission Junction. No one should try and join Commission Junction until they have some experience, because they are very quick to close out non performing accounts. Linkshare on the other hand is much more tolerant of lower performing accounts. Linkshare offers a huge selection of quality merchants from a variety of industries – Automotive, Financial Services, Health and Beauty, Games and Toys, etc. You should be able to find programs from almost any viable niche.

MoreNiche

FACTS: First I am going to tell you a very simple “Trick” to make yourself lots of money! MoreNiche pays big commissions to people to promote their products directly by referral. What this means is simple. Sign up for MoreNiche then go get the code to promote the MoreNiche Brand. You make a quick $20 for everyone you can sign up. This is an easy program to promote in Forums and Blog posts, but you have to join first. Then take a hard look at the products they offer and see if they fit your own sites. PepperJam Network

FACTS: PepperJam is growing faster than any other Affiliate Network Company. Each day new advertisers are coming on board. PepperJam will also pay you to recruit new affiliates, but not as much as MoreNiche. PepperJam has a lot of clothing and consumer/retail offers. Pepperjam also has an excellent selection of “cut and paste” banner advertisements for the new marketer.

Adbrite

FACTS: Adbrite offers Adsense Style Advertisements. The “Trick” with Adbrite is to take the time to read the offers and be selective in what y ou display. Some ads can pay as little as a penny or two per click. Sites with large amounts of traffic in select industries can do very well with Adbrite, others will be a waste of time. ShareaSale

Webmaster Sign Up: Shareasale

FACTS: Established in 2000, Shareasale began on the premise that they could provide any merchant – large or small – with high quality, reliable tracking software – at a lower cost than the industry norm – with the added benefit of being plugged into a large network of quality affiliate sites. ShareaSale is a good network for Affiliate interested in smaller niches and working with small businesses. While Commission Junction and LinkShare go after the big boys like American Express and Netflix, shareasale focuses on the smaller business which when appropriately applied can be extremely profitable. Don’t overlook Shareasale there are some real gems hiding within the ShareaSale etwork!

ClickBank

Webmaster Sign Up: ClickBank

FACTS: Well this is both opinion and fact so here goes.  ClickBank… love em or hate em.  Yes there is a whole lot of Crap within the 10,000 digital products you can promote. Finding the true opportunities will make the difference between your success or failure.  Take the time to read everything you can on the site so you understand the ins and outs before you jump in and start promoting. Be aware that ClickBank isn’t exactly a secret site… pretty much everyone in the Industry is promoting somehing from ClickBank so you’ll have your work cut out for you.  The Top Products are heavily promoted.  Find you niche!

Commission Junction

CJ is a very solid network, I promote my share of CJ Affiliate Programs, but they are not the best place to start.  You want to have a fully developed site/blog and some traffic before you sign up.  There is no point in signing up until you are ready.  They may not accept you, and even if they do you may have your account terminated if you don’t start producing quickly.

Tip: The Best Affiliate Program isn’t always buried within a network. Many companies run their own operations.  It’s up to you to find the products and services that match your niche.

Have You Been Banned or Not Accepted into the Google Adsense Program?

First off I’m not going to bullshit you… it’s a lot harder to make money with Adbrite than Adsense. It’s harder to make money with Adbrite than Yahoo.  But what if you can’t get into Adsense or YPN?  Well you should focus on affiliate marketing, but if you still want to go after contextual advertising then you may still want to consider Adbrite. Adbrite is a huge company and there is a ton of money to be made.  But you really have to know what you are doing with Adbrite or you simply won’t make much money.

The bottom line is people are making some serious cash month after month year after year with Adsense.  I know… I’m one of them.  I do not display Adsense here on Internet Marketing IQ because my target audience is very Adsense Savvy and it doesn’t make sense for this site.  This is why you seldom see Adsense on any of the other Top Marketing Blogs. But it makes huge Sense (Pun intended) on sites that are marketed to the general public.

You should also know that there is no real Alternative that pays in the contextual marketing space as well as Adsense.  The reason is simple… Adsense has the mindshare of the Advertiser.  They have a huge volume of Advertisers ready to spend in almost every niche.

However there are “similar” programs which if carefully crafted can yeild some impressive returns.

If you are unfamiliar with the Adbrite Network you need to know it is NOT as simple or as easy to make money as the Google Adsense program. However with a little “tweaking” you really can make money. To use Adbrite effectively you need to understand your traffic sources.

The Upside to the Adbrite Network

• A variety of Advertisers
• Cut and Paste Code
• Decent Statistical Tracking
• CPM, Full Page, and Inline Ad options
• Text and Banner options

The Downside to the Adbrite Network

• Low Traffic Sites perform poorly
• Niches that are too “tight” may perform poorly
• Not as many ad block size options as Adsense

The first thing you need to do is get yourself an account. Fortunately its much much easier than applying to Adsense. And yes there are rules, but it’s not a tight as the Adsense rules.

How to Make Money with Adbrite

Adbrite has a lot of low paying JUNKY looking CPM Advertisements. If your site is displaying these ads you’ll make next to nothing because you are paid a set amount per 1,000 Ad Exposures. Most small sites simply do not have the traffic to make money with CPM.

What you need to do is set up your site to make money from the Cost Per Click Ads. And here is where it can get tricky, and you MUST have patience.

The first thing you need to do is set your ads to display everything available, and to create your Adzones with the most appropriate Keywords to your niche. You’ll go back and “fix” your keyword selections in a few days after you have some test data.

Then you let you site “rest” for a couple of days, perhaps even a week. Now you can go in an look to see who is bidding on Advertisements to display on your site (You know this by the Ads that are displaying). Now is the time to uncheck the display all ads, and let advertisers bid on your site. This will take more days of testing, but this is the only way to figure out who is willing to pay and what you can effectively charge.

Unlike Adsense you can choose the ads to display and you can set your minimum price. Set it too low and you get junk, set it too high and you get nothing!

After the “testing period” it’s time to tweak your advertising campaigns. If your keywords are too narrow you need to widen them to make your site more available to additional advertisers on the network. So if your site were specifically about Chevy Corvettes and you picked a tight group of niche keywords that is not performing it’s time to back up and select new keywords.

In this case you would want to consider such broad keywords as “Automotive”, “Car Rental”, “Insurance”, “Loans”. That is how you’ll get the ads that pay on your site.

Adbrite is a little more work to set up, and more work to monitor, but if you are careful and test your Ad Zones you really can make money with Adbrite.

Adbrite is also a great way for you to Test Advertisments BEFORE you jump on Googles Adwords program.

Yahoo Publisher Network

Honestly it’s nearly impossible to get accepted into unless you have a ton of traffic and can figure out how to communicate directly with a representative.  The upside is it works, the downside is the “Beta” is still in “Beta” 4 years after the fact.

You can try, and I’d suggest you do… but don’t get you hopes up.

What About the Other Contextual Advertising Programs for Publishers?

I don’t use any others because I am successful with Adsense and YPN and I’ve tried a few other including Chitika and found that for my marketing methods Affiliate Programs pay much better.  Actually Affilaite Programs pay much better on many of my sites than YPN or Adsense as well.
